In 2009-10 Senior T20 Challenger women Trophy was commenced in India as it was equal to seniors women’s challenger ODI trophy.
Senior T20 Challenger women Trophy’s Teams:
In the beginning part of India Blue, India Green, India Red then it changed to India A, India B, India C.
Format:
Teams playing round-robin rounds twice in a tournament top two teams move to the finals.
Points:
4 points are allotted for each match. Teams with the same points in the table their net run rate will be taken into consideration.

2009-10 final Ahmedabad Jan 5, 2010, India green women vs India blue women. Team Blue won the toss and decided to field; Punam Raut 42 and Priyanka Roy 30 from the team green were the high scorers of the game and both made 51run partnership Reema Malhotra 4 overs 19 runs taking 2 wickets. 126 runs required from 120 balls the economical bowling from Jhulan Goswami taking 2 wickets in 4 over conceding only 7 runs his partner Sonya Dabir 4 overs 2/13 taking team green to win the match by 24 runs Varsha Choudary 28 is the high score for team blue.
2018-19 final Bengaluru August 21, 2018, India Blue women vs India Red women. Team Red won the toss and chose to field. Team Blue with Dayalan Hemalatha 48 took the team to 131/7 Shikha Pandey 2/16 in 4 overs. In reply, Red could make only 127/7 in 20. Punam Raut 52 went in vain, Poonam Yadav 3/25 in 4 overs.
2019-2020 final Cuttack Jan 10, 2020, India B won the toss and elected to bat first, Team B made 131/6 in 20 with help of player Pooja Vastrakar scoring 43 from 22 balls there is no other player to make a big partnership with her. Manali Dakshini 3/15 in 4 overs. Team C with an aggressive opening by Shefali Verma 89(48) lost only 2 wickets the team C went on to take the title home. Shikha Pandey 1/32 in 3 overs.
The tournament was begun to find new talents and youngsters to gain experience after the tournament rose to the higher levels the players improved from his tournament became top players for team India now they don’t play this tournament because some Indian women’s cricketer went to play BBL in Australia, it’s good for the others to get a place in the team and show their talents. This tournament is considered to be prepared for the players regarding the ODI World cup which is to start in March 2022 the selectors will have eyes on them. Thank you!
