Shah Jahan, Emperor Jahangir’s third son, was born on January 5, 1592, in Lahore and was originally named Khurram. The Reign of Shah Jahan

In September 1658, Shah Jahan fell very sick. One among his sons, Dara Shikoh, took the position of the king while his rehabilitation. His brothers were enraged, and Shuja and Murad Baksh formed autonomous territories and seized their fair portion almost immediately. In the meantime, Aurangzeb gathered his armed forces and destroyed Dara Shikoh, his brother. The remaining contestants were subsequently killed, and he has crowned Emperor. Death
Shah Jahan fell sick again in January 1666 first week and he never fully recovered. By convoking Akbarabadi Mahal he was instructed to watch after Jahanara Begum his daughter, On 22nd January,
Princess Jahanara Begum desired a ceremony with the state’s noblemen carrying her father’s body all through Agra so that the people might bid their beloved ruler a final farewell. Aurangzeb, on the other hand, was not in the mindset for such a lavish burial. Finally, Sayyid Muhammad Qanauji and Kazi Qurban carried Shah Jahan’s body out of the jail, cleaned it, and put it in a sandalwood casket. After that, the casket was taken to the Taj Mahal alongside his adoring wife, Mumtaz. he was buried.
