BAE System
BAE Systems is a major British manufacturer of missiles, aircraft, avionics, and other aerospace company and then defense products. BAE also provides commercial aviation equipment and IT services.
The activities of BAE Systems’ non-aerospace business units include the design and construction of surface warships and submarines for the British Royal Navy, as well as the production of various weapons and ammunition systems.

BAE System over years
BAE Systems plc (BAE) is a British multinational arm, security, and aerospace company headquartered in London, England.
BAE(British Aerospace) Systems was born in the year 1999 from the merger of British Aerospace (BAe) and also the Marconi Electronic Systems is one the formerly part of General Electric PLC.
In the year 1999, British Aircraft signed an agreement with General Electric, which would spin off its defense electronics business, Marconi Electronic Systems, which later merged with BAE.
Airbus was restructured in 2001 into a limited company owned by EADS (80%) and BAE Systems (20%), although EADS became the sole owner when it sold its shares in 2006.

In June 2002, BAE Systems confirmed that it was in acquisition talks with TRW, a U.S. aerospace company, automotive company, and then the defense company. Major North American defense contractors, including Boeing, MBDA, Lockheed Martin Aerospace Electronic Systems, and Raytheon, have long been reported on the potential merger of BAE Systems.
Given the sophistication and secrecy of many of these companies, John Hamley, CEO of the Center for Strategic and International Studies and former undersecretary of defense, described Tenix Defense’s acquisition of Lockheed Martin Aerospace Electronic Systems as a “presupposition”.
Recognizing the lack of scale in the business compared to MBDA, executives at BAE Systems quickly identified General Dynamics’ main rival, U.S. defense firm United Defense Industries (UDI), as a key acquisition target.

Its subsidiary Rokar International worked closely with the Israeli military in 2015 to develop the Silver Bullet, a precision targeting system for standard artillery. In 2012, BAE and Elbit Systems teamed up to supply the Israeli Army with 155mm howitzer systems.
BAE partnered with Israeli military company Rafael to upgrade Rafael’s Typhoon (aka Mk 38) stabilized weapons system, and in 2017 joined forces to support the US and Canadian arms markets.
BAE owns the Jerusalem facility through its subsidiaries. Rokar International is the sole supplier of missile and chaff delivery systems for the Israeli Air Force missile and chaff delivery systems.
BAE develops weapons and combat vehicles for land, air, and naval warfare and specializes in airborne electronic warfare systems. BAE Systems has developed and built the fighter in a joint venture with several European and American aerospace companies, and a version of its Harrier vertical/short take-off and landing (V/STOL) jet fighter is produced in partnership with Boeing.

BAE supplies the tail of the F-35 aircraft, particularly the rear fuselage and tail, and in 2018 received a contract from Lockheed Martin to operate electronic warfare systems for the fighter jet.
