History
The idea sparked when the Indian Premier League was begun the same with little changes were made and WBBL was launched. Earlier it was Singapore based teams with players the idea proposed by Lisa sthalker along with Martyn businessman, concepts women international cricket league the top players supported it may due to high earnings, other cricket board members are not interested to send their players as it was a private tournament the same said by the Australian players and finally, the board started the tournament in the name of Australian women T20 cup and Replaced with WBBL.
First stage
To raise the popularity of the BBL the first session men’s BBL was telecasted free on Tv. When the announcement was made about WBBL to begin in 2015-16 same as the men’s team In BBL, as the rise of women’s cricket is done through the T20 format which is exciting where it can bring young talented players.

Cricket Australia, Cricket 7, Fox cricket, Kayo sports these channels that paid for the broadcasting rights to telecast WBBL.

The eight teams from Australia in various regions participate in WBBL.
Format & Rules
T20 format with powerplay in first six overs placing two fielders outside the 25-yard circle lighter balls are used with shorter boundaries.
Points
The winner of the match gets 2 points, match in a tie and decided by super over and the winner decided, no result or abandoned gets 1, teams staying at the same point in the table their run rate will be taken into deliberation.

About the tournament
What the tournament had gained step by step increasing the views on television and young talents playing some fearless cricket at the beginning of the tournament the run rate was low no rockets are flying to the boundaries but the season progressed the batting was powerful from the players many flew to the boundaries one of the reasons to pull the youngster to watch the match ground. The bowling seemed to be good but Fielding was below the mark there is some extraordinary Fielding’s in the tournament but keeping some you can’t win the games.
